About

I am a director and producer developing interdisciplinary theatre forms – ranging from stage productions and installations to site-specific works as well as sound, text, and video formats. Listening stands at the beginning of my practice: listening to voices, places, and landscapes. Rooted in my own biographical positioning, my work engages with post-Soviet processes of transformation, ecological entanglements, traditional singing practices, and collective modes of working.

My projects are created in national and international contexts, both within the independent scene and at municipal and state theatres. They have been presented, among others, at Staatstheater Darmstadt, Stadttheater Gießen, Nowy Teatr in Warsaw, the Spielart Festival in Munich, HELLERAU – European Center for the Arts in Dresden, the HayArt Center in Yerevan, Asortymenta Kimnata in Ukraine, as well as Hebbel am Ufer, Ballhaus Ost, and SOPHIENSÆLE in Berlin.

I collaborate with composers such as Wojtek Blecharz and Martyna Poznańska, as well as with artists including Susanne Fröhlich, Constantin von Thun, Michael McCrae, Tereza Yakovyna, and the Otucha Collective. In 2024, I co-founded Soll & Werden e.V., an association dedicated to artistic production, research, and education. A particular focus of my work lies in researching and strengthening experimental music theatre and its networks – as a member of Zeitgenössisches Musiktheater Berlin (ZMB), co-founder of the nationwide Netzwerk Freies Musiktheater, and advisory board member of Kulturraum GmbH Berlin.

After studying literature, sociology, and media studies in Potsdam, I assisted and interned on several opera productions, including Hans Neuenfels’ staging of Lohengrin at the Bayreuth Festival in 2010. I subsequently studied Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen with Heiner Goebbels and graduated with distinction.

Supported by EU funding as well as federal and state programs – including Perform Europe, Hauptstadtkulturfonds, Fonds Darstellende Künste, and the Berlin Senate Department for Culture – I have realized numerous projects and received several working grants. In 2013, the work BREAKING NEWS, developed together with Philipp Bergmann, received the B3 Newcomer Award “BEN” in the category “Non-Linear Storytelling.”

Alongside my artistic work, I am active in self-organized therapeutic contexts and support the founding of new groups. Through this practice, I continue to deepen my engagement with listening, speaking, and collective action.
